Kenya beat Uganda and Ethiopia to win the rights of hosting the fourth edition of the annual championship to be held on February 8-16, 2026 in Nairobi.

“The CAVB Zone V Executive has entrusted Kenya Volleyball Federation with the hosting of the above Championship,” stated Sadik Nasiwu the CAVB Zone V President in a circular dated November 12, 2025.

“We thank the three countries for bidding to host the prestigious championship,” Nasiwu stated.

The nine-day competition will feature top four teams from the 12 member federations of the CAVB Zone V.

Zone V, the biggest of the continental zones, consist of Kenya, Burundi, Eritrea, Djibouti, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Somalia and Egypt.

Rwanda’s APR dominated proceedings in the 2025 Kampala edition winning both the men and women’s title.

The Nairobi edition will be the fourth edition, the previous edition being hosted by Kigali (2019 & 2023), Kampala (2025).

Kenya Pipeline, the reigning national women’s league champions, won the title in 2023 but were defeated by Armee Patriotique Rwandaise 3-1 this year in Kampala.
