Mother's day gift – Ksh.500,000 won by Kenyan mum

Not long ago, there were jubilations and celebrations when Mary, who lives miles away from Bethlehem received the greatest surprise of her life.

This time it was not in a manger inform of a bouncing baby boy but a phone call she will never forget about a wager she’d recently made.

When the call arrived alerting her that she had won Ksh.500,000 in the Shabiki Kaende Jackpot, she had just finished preparing her three children for the second term of the 2023 academic year.
