The coastal side are now setting their sights on back-to-back wins in their upcoming fixtures against USIU and Trailblazers on the weekend of May 31 and June 1.

Currently placed seventh in the ten-team league, MSC who finished third at this year’s African Cup for Club Champions in Egypt under coach Charles Otieno, remain optimistic about turning the tide.

“People tend to focus only on the results, but they often overlook the hard work and preparation behind the scenes,” said head coach Otieno.

“Every team prepares differently, and so do we. So far, we have two losses, one draw, and one win. Training is ongoing, and I believe the results will soon reflect our effort.”

Team captain Esther Mwikali echoed the coach’s sentiments, expressing confidence ahead of their next matches.

“We face USIU and Trailblazers at the end of the month, and we’re ready,” Mwikali affirmed.

“We’ve taken lessons from the Strathmore game and are determined to come back stronger.”

Team manager Leokadia Ofula was particularly encouraged by the performance of the younger players in the squad.

“I’m really proud of the young girls in our team, especially the high schoolers. Watching how they handled themselves against a seasoned side like Strathmore was encouraging,” Ofula said.

“They’re blending in well, and I’m confident we’ll do better in our next games. Our target remains a top-three finish. It’s not easy, especially after our strong showing in the African Club Championship—every team wants to beat us now—but we’re not backing down.”

With a strong blend of youth and experience, MSC is aiming to use the remaining fixtures as a platform to reassert themselves as a force in the league.
