‘Missing’ rugby player Asiligwa found safe after family raised alarm

Kenya Harlequins Rugby player Lyle Asiligwa who had on Tuesday been reported missing has  been found safe barely an hour after the matter was reported at the Kabete Police Station.

His club Harlequins confirmed the fresh twist barely 30 minutes after his brother had reported the matter at the Kabete Police Station.

His reported absence raised alarm within the sports industry.

Speaking to Citizen Digital  in an earlier interview, his brother Arnold Asiligwa  said: “Right now his phones are off. We have left the matter to police to do their investigations.”

It remains unclear under what circumstances Asigiliwa had “gone missing'” as his family did not shed light on the fresh twist.

Asiligwa last played for Kenya Simbas in 2017 under former coach South African Jerome Paarwaters at the Four Nations tournament in Hong Kong.
