Magical Kenya Ladies Open Pro-Am Attracts 190 Golfers

Preparations are well underway for the fourth instalment of the Magical Kenya Ladies Open, set to commence with the Pro-Am tournament tomorrow, February 7th, at the PGA Baobab Course, located at Vipingo Ridge in Kilifi County.
The event has drawn the participation of 190 golfers who are poised to engage in a captivating display of golfing prowess. Amateur golfers will join forces with LET (Ladies European Tour) professionals for an exhilarating round of golf, setting the stage for the main tournament which officially begins on Thursday.
Leading the charge at 7:00 am will be the team spearheaded by Polish golfer Dorota Zalewska, accompanied by Esther Waititu, Doris Night, and Willy Mastermet. Following closely behind at 7:10 am is the team led by 24-year-old Teresa Diez Moliner from Spain, joined by Kishan Dhanji Raghwani, Vinay Nilesh Kerai, and John Gitonga.
At 9:25 am, 22-year-old Annabell Fuller, the victor of the 2020 English Women's Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship, will team up with Rishi Dodhia, Saj Shah, and Aamil Mughal for their tee-off. German professional Patricia Isabel Schmidt, reigning champion of the 2023 Belgian Ladies Open, will commence her round at 11:10 am alongside National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u, Ambassador Josphat Maikara, and Ambassador Moi Lemoshira.
Former Ingarö Ladies Open champion Marta Sanz Barrio from Spain will embark on her round at 12:35 pm, accompanied by Sheng Kaifu, Millicent Melo, and Nelson Wanyonyi. Meanwhile, Kristýna Napoleaová, the titleholder of the 2023 Amundi German Masters championship from the Czech Republic, will tee off at 14:10 alongside Jane Nzibo, Rosemary Mkok, and Mitansh Thacker.
Elsewhere, last year’s standout performer, Lisa Pettersson, renowned for her hole-in-one, will lead her team onto the course at 12:30 pm. German athlete Alexandra Forsterling, victorious in both the 2023 VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open and the 2023 Mallorca Ladies Open, will tee off at 12:50 pm accompanied by Dennis Maari, Lilian Njunguna, and Rachel Ndei.
English professional Alice Hewson, securing second place in the previous edition, is scheduled to tee off at 14:30, joined by Yusuf Omari, James Kamau Mburu, and Aiddah Kabukuru. Kenyan elite amateur Naomi Wafula will team up with Kenya Airports Authority Chairman Caleb Kositany, Giancarlo Bonnano, and Nelius Kariuki for their tee-off at 3:30 pm, embarking on the back nine.
