Leopards warn Dynamos over disputed Otieno transfer

AFC Leopards have given Zambian outfit Lusaka Dynamos until the end of the week to respond to their letter over the transfer of midfield maestro Duncan Otieno.

Leopards are accusing Dynamos of player tapping after they went ahead to sign Otieno who had penned a two year contract with the Kenyan giants.

Club chairman Dan Shikanda has said that they will be heading to FIFA next week should the Zambian side won’t respond by then.

Shikanda also squared blame on Otieno’s former club Nkana FC, the Zambian champions, for denying them third party owner letter which shows they had released their player after his contract expired.

“We have sent them a letter showing that Otieno has signed a contract with us. Unfortunately up until now they have not yet responded to it,” Shikand said adding, “we suspect the two teams Nkana and Dynamos have collaborated to prevent Otieno from joining us.”

Otieno was expected in the country last weekend to hold talks with Leopards but failed to show up.

Leopards hope to add Otieno to their midfield that already has Peter Thiong’o, Harrison Mwendwa, Fabrice Mugheni, Musa Saad, Austine Ochieng among others.

Ingwe will host Tusker FC at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday in their season-opening league clash.
