Leaders Mara face Mathare test as NSL resumes
The National
Super League (NSL) resumes tomorrow for its sixth round when MCF FC welcome
Kisumu All Stars at the Kenyatta Stadium before a busy weekend in the country’s
second tier league.
Both teams
have contrasting starts to their seasons with Kisumu All Stars enjoying the
third best record behind only the league leaders Mara Sugar and Naivas FC while
MCF sit in the bottom three.
Mara, who
are unbeaten this season, travel to Mathare United while Naivas also have an away
trip to Gusii FC.
Migori Youth
will host Nairobi United behind closed doors following sanction by Football
Kenya Federation (FKF) over fan trouble while Assad hosts Mulembe United.
Migori were
been banned from hosting the team's next five home matches after crowd trouble
was reported in their last home match against Darajani Gogo last Sunday.
They won the
match 1-0 and were fortunate that the match's result stood after the incident.
The City
boys will look to take advantage of the lack of home support for Migori to
build on their already brilliant run sitting on 7 points having won two and
drawn once.
