Kenya Volleyball Federation men's league reigning champions Kenya Prisons, GSU and KPA have sailed through to the semi-finals after completing a double in the game two of the three best of series quarterfinal encounters staged at Kasarani Stadium Indoor Arena.
Kenya Prisons stunned Kenya
Forest Service 3-1 while KPA edged Trail Blazers 3-0. GSU on the other side
stunned KAPU in straight sets in both legs to book a semi-final berth. Equity
on the other side forced a decider clash against KDF after overturning a 3-1
defeat to stun the Soldiers 3-2 in the second leg.
In women's quarterfinal matches
held at Nyayo National Stadium Gymnasium, defending champions KCB, Kenya
Pipeline, Kenya Prisons and DCI all sealed semi-final berths after completing
all double against their opponents KDF, Nairobi Prisons, Kenya Army and
Postbank.
The semis will be staged in
Mombasa after a fortnight.
