Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) recorded a commanding 81–66 victory over C.N.S.S. on Saturday in Cairo, Egypt, continuing their push for the best possible classification finish at the FIBA Women’s Basketball League Africa.

The Dockers dominated from the opening tip, winning all four quarters. KPA set the tone early, taking a 26–19 lead after the first quarter, extending it to 45–31 by halftime, and maintaining control in the second half.

At one stage, KPA opened a tournament-high 31-point advantage, asserting their authority on the court.

Aminata Samassekou led KPA with 18 points, knocking down three three-pointers and adding six rebounds and four assists. Her all-round performance set the offensive tempo for the team.

Alexus Johnson was equally influential, posting 17 points and a game-high 18 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, while contributing five assists to control the paint.

Sara Nicole Dickey complemented the duo with 14 points, shooting 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.

Betty Kananu added seven points, Vilma Awino six, and Natalie Mwangale five, while Alima Doumbia contributed four points. Selina Okumu and Yvonne Atieno Okello chipped in with two points each, helping KPA stretch their lead across all quarters.

KPA head coach Nabil Kabalan praised the team’s balanced effort, highlighting their defensive discipline and efficient scoring. “Our focus was on controlling the tempo and making every possession count,” Kabalan said.

The victory sets up KPA’s final classification match against Sporting Clube de Angola on Sunday at the Al Ahly Arena, giving the Dockers a chance to cap off the tournament on a high note.

With a blend of sharpshooting, inside presence, and teamwork, KPA showed they are a force to be reckoned with in the competition.
