University of
Nairobi (UON) basketball team's head coach Eugene Kalman says there will be no
room for mistakes ahead of their weekend fixtures this weekend in the Kenya
National Basketball Premier League.
UON Terror will
face giants Equity Dumas tomorrow at the Nyayo Gymnasium in the men’s Premier
League, while UON Dynamites will take on USIU Flames and Africa Nazarene
University (ANU) Panthers on Sunday at the same venue in the women’s league.
“We have been nursing a
lot of injuries, we have been trying to adjust on our defensive, offensive sets
and rebounding as we build confidence in our team which consists of young
players,” Kalman said.
“USIU is the best
university team right now; they will be two tough games but we are up to the
task. Preparations have not been perfect due to the demonstrations in the
country but we are ready,” Kalman added.
UON Terror lost their
last weekend match 83-93 against Stanbic Shields in the men’s premier league
while UON Dynamites defeated Eldonets 54-34 in the ladies’ premier league.
