During the draw conducted last evening at the Misrata Youth Centre, KPA, Kenya’s top-seeded team and one of the tournament's top 10 finishers in the previous edition, was placed in Group D. The Mombasa-based side will battle it out with Laetitia Volleyball Club (Cameroon), Armée Patriotique Rwandaise (Rwanda), Espérance de Tunis (Tunisia), Volleyball Club Espoir (DR Congo) and hosts National Communication Services Club (Libya).

KPA resumed training immediately after the draw as they await the release of the final match fixtures.
