Head coach Mary Adhiambo is confident her side, winners of Zone A, can finish the job when they face Zone B champions Madira Soccer Assassins in the title decider this Sunday at Afraha Stadium, Nakuru.
Kayole topped the Zone A standings with 50 points, six clear of second-placed Bandari Queens, securing a return to the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) after a two-year absence.
Their opponents, Madira Soccer Assassins, clinched the Zone B crown with 45 points, four ahead of Gideon Starlets. The win also secured Madira’s promotion back to the top tier, following their relegation last season.
“Winning the title has been our objective all season. We’re working hard towards that goal, and I believe we will win,” said Adhiambo.
The former Harambee Starlets international added that preparations are in full swing, with the team focused and in good shape ahead of the high-stakes clash.
“We’re preparing thoroughly for the match and correcting our mistakes. We’re leaving nothing to chance,” she said.
Adhiambo also praised her team’s mental resilience, which she believes was key to their promotion.
Kayole Starlets had an exceptional run, losing only one match all season. They won 15 and drew five, while boasting an impressive defensive record, conceding just six goals throughout the campaign.
