Jepkosgei, also a former New York Marathon winner, clocked 15 minutes 23.6 seconds ahead of Daisilah Jerono who timed 15 minutes 28.8 seconds and Esther Chemtai Kipkech (15 minutes:36.1 seconds).
In the men’s 10,000m, Wesley Yego edged 2025 Shanghai Half Marathon champion Roncer Konga in a thrilling finish.

The reigning Chemususu half marathon champion says he is aiming to be part of Team Kenya for this year’s World Championships to be held in Tokyo in September.
“I know the trials will be tough but I will keep on training. I know I can represent the country in Japan,” he said in a post-race interview.
In the 100m hurdles semi-final, Corporal Musyoka Nzuku of the Isiolo Base claimed first place with a time of 14:53 seconds to punch the final ticket.
“I usually race in the 400M hurdles but I wanted to try the 100M as well today. However, as much as I am trying it, my main focus remains on the 400M hurdles, in which I need a time of 48:5 to qualify. It is my dream to be an Olympian and I hope to represent Kenya on the big stage,” he said.
The three-day championship will conclude on Friday.
