Three-time Olympic Games champion and 1500m world record holder Faith Kipyegon will be out to round off her 2024 season on a high when she takes on the world’s finest at the ATHLOS meet in New York City on the 26th of this month.

Kipyegon continued her dominance of the 1500m by securing an incredible fifth Diamond League trophy over the distance in Brussels and now aims to finish the season on a high when she competes in New York later this month.

“I still have one more race in New York to finish my season.

“I want to stay focused and finish the season on a high; that is something that I will be so happy about,” said Kipyegon

2024 has been a great year for the 5000-meter world champion, having seen her win three consecutive Olympic titles in the women’s 1500m following her victory in Paris and also winning silver in 5000 meters, something she believes is a result of hard work.

“It has been a great year of hard work and determination despite the injury I had at the beginning of the season.

“I am so proud to have bounced back stronger and won the medals and titles,” added Kipyegon

With her wins that come with much fame, she spoke on how she has remained humbled and focused on her career.

“I always want to stay humble and focused on achieving more despite the success and fame I have to be a role model to the society for those who look up on me,” she added.
