KCB RFC coach Dennis Mwanja believes the inclusion of three major signings this season will boost their quest to win their fifth Kenya Cup in a row.

The former Shujaa player commonly known as ‘Ironman’ said their target every season is to win the Cup and the arrival of the three will be a big boost.

“Every year we’ve been going for the cup whether we’ve signed or not, our main aim as the season kicks off is to win the title and so inclusion is part of every team is just that KCB has made notable signings,” said Mwanja.

The Kenya Cup holders have signed wingback Alvin ‘Buffa’ Otieno, Centre Bob ‘Juggernaut’ Muhati all from Homeboyz and halfback Brian “Jonte” Wahinya from Blak Blad.

According to Mwanja the three will bring experience to the side praising Safari Sevens MVP Alvin Otieno for his confidence.

“It’s always positive bringing a player who has a lot of confidence in himself and also experience because I have seen Otieno grow up the ranks from Kakamega High school to Western Bulls then to Homeboyz, so for him to come here is a plus to us,” added Mwanja.

“We play as a team not as an individual so the three players will get an opportunity to play and we compliment them so it will be a good experience for them,” said Mwanja.

The Bankers won the Kenya Cup this season winning slightly 28-25 against Kabras Sugar.

The new Kenya Cup season is expected to start later this month.
