Kenya Harlequins have received a major sponsorship boost after Rohto Mentholatum Kenya Limited announced a new three-year sponsorship deal worth Ksh 725,992 to support both the men's and women's teams on Wednesday at the Kenya Harlequins Club House.

The sponsorship package includes a cash contribution of Ksh 200,000 in 2025, with increases planned for the years 2026 and 2027.

It also covers 50 co-branded rugby balls worth Ksh 140,000 for league matches and training sessions, along with in-kind support through Rohto’s leading health and wellness products, with their leading brand valued at Ksh 385,992.

These include Deep Heat, Deep Freeze, and Deep Relief, which are designed to help with recovery, injury treatment, and overall player wellness.

Speaking at the event, Rohto Mentholatum Kenya Managing Director Masaaki Ushiyama said, “As a Kenyan company, we must engage directly with Kenyan athletes across various sports. Partnering with Kenya Harlequin allows us to connect with high-intensity male and female rugby players.”

John Macharia, Marketing Manager at Rohto Mentholatum Kenya, added that the partnership reflects the company’s strong commitment to supporting player health.

“Our award-winning products will help the Kenya Harlequin teams maintain peak performance throughout the season.”

Kenya Harlequin Chairman Victor Sudi welcomed the support. “We are delighted to have Rohto Mentholatum on board.

The health and welfare of our players is our top priority, and this partnership will go a long way in ensuring they stay healthy and match-ready.”

The sponsorship is expected to boost the club’s performance in the coming seasons while promoting player safety and well-being.
