Harambee Stars to play two friendlies in September

Harambee Star will play two international friendly matches against Qatar and South Sudan next month in preparation for their upcoming competitive FIFA and CAF assignments.

Stars face the 2022 World Cup hosts Qatar in Doha on September 7 before hosting South Sudan in Nairobi five days later.

CHAN Qualifiers are scheduled to commence on 22nd-24th September and 6th-8th October.

Kenya is drawn in Group F of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Seychelles, Burundi, Gambia, Gabon, and Côte d’Ivoire with the first round of matches set to be played in November.

Winners of each group will directly qualify for the global showcase.

Additionally, the four best runners-up from the groups will advance to the CAF Play-Off tournament whose winner shall take part in a FIFA Playoff tournament for a chance to secure a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
