Harambee Stars arrive in Kigali for Rwanda WC qualifier
The national football team has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Rwanda’s Amavubi (The Wasps) on Sunday.
The Harambee Stars departed the country on Thursday evening, a few hours after they drew 0-0 with Uganda in their opening preliminary qualifying clash at the Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi.
They are due to have a recovery session later Friday and will eye maximum points against the hosts who sit bottom of Group E after opening their bid to reach next year’s finals in Qatar with a l-0 loss to Mali.
There are seven African qualifiers scheduled on Friday across the continent with heavyweight contenders Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Nigeria all getting their campaigns underway.
