Gor Mahia, sitting top of the KPL standings with 53 points, will be looking to maintain their advantage at the top, while third placed Shabana, on 40 points, aim to close the gap in what promises to be a competitive encounter.
Their reverse fixture ended in a barren draw held at Gusii Stadium on January 11.
The hosts also carry a strong historical record into the match having met Shabana 41 times, winning 25, drawing 12, and losing only four.
They have scored 60 goals and conceded 22, a run that underlines their dominance in this fixture.
With both teams backed by passionate fan bases, Gor Mahia as the hosts have emphasized structured match day coordination to avoid upheavals that can distract their momentum.
"We want to assure all fans that necessary security measures have been put in place to guarantee safety before, during and after the match. You are free to come and enjoy the game in a secure environment," the club said in a statement signed by Secretary General Nicannor Arum on Friday.
Supporters have been encouraged to follow stadium guidelines, including using designated entry points and seating areas, to ensure smooth movement and an enjoyable atmosphere.
"I urge all fans to uphold peace and sportsmanship. Please, disregard any negative messages, visuals or rumours intended to disrupt the harmony between our clubs," the statement added.
Matchday operations will include coordinated crowd management, controlled access points, and oversight to maintain order throughout the event. The club has also called on fans to create a lively yet respectful atmosphere as the teams battle for crucial points.
With Gor Mahia seeking to extend both their league lead and historical edge, the stage is set for an engaging contest defined by strong support and organized matchday execution.
