Man, woman stabbed to death in suspected love triangle in Kisumu

Police in Kondele, Kisumu County, are hunting a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man and a woman to death last night in Obunga slums in what is believed to be a love triangle.

The suspect, commonly known as “ABOY,” reportedly committed the attack after following his now-deceased girlfriend to another man’s home.

According to police, the deceased man, identified as Omondi Jaalego, was involved in an affair with the deceased woman, Trizer. Authorities say the suspect, who had been romantically involved with Trizer, suspected that the pair were secretly seeing each other.

Armed with a knife, the suspect attacked the two inside Omondi’s home. The victims attempted to escape, but both succumbed to their injuries just a few metres from the house.

The bodies were subsequently taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching & Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) by responding police officers.

The suspect remains at large and is being pursued by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
