Former Harambee Stars coach Shedu hospitalised with Covid-19

Former Harambee Stars coach Rishadi Shedu has been admitted at Eastleigh 12th Street Labib Hospital in Nairobi after contracting the coronavirus.

Shedu had initially been diagnosed with amoeba and blood infection before a test for COVID-19 returned positive.

“I have tested positive for Covid-19. My dear friends and colleagues, I have been admitted to Eastleigh 12th Street Labib Hospital and I’m on oxygen support. Please no visitors, don’t take the risk, be safe, text me,” Shedu posted on Facebook.

Due to his asthmatic condition and the chilly weather in Nairobi, the former Bandari FC, and KCB FC developed cough and breathing problems and was taken to Guru Nanak before being transferred to Eastleigh.

He was in the Harambee Stars technical bench between 1994 to 2010.

He also coached all youth national teams for the U17, U20, U23 youngsters and helped Bandari earn promotion to the Kenyan Premier League in 2013.
