Clear electoral roadmap key to FKF elections transparency, says Muhammed
Three weeks after the Football Kenya Federation held its
Annual General Meeting (AGM), football stakeholders have called for the FKF
Electoral board to provide a roadmap ahead of the much-anticipated elections.
Led by FKF
Presidential aspirant Hussein Mohammed, they say they expect clear
communication from the board as they prepare for the elections.
“It’s very
sad that three weeks down the road, we haven’t seen any significant move in
terms of the electioneering process, and we need to know when are the dates so
that we prepare ourselves,” said Hussein
They also
want the voter register to be publicized to guarantee free and fair elections.
“We need to
vet the voter register, which is critical; it is very concerning that the
process has not kicked off.”
The Muranga
Seals Vice Chair is one of the FKF Top seat’s contenders, along with former
Harambee Stars player Sammy Owino Kempes.
