Kenya National Basketball men’s Premier League runaway leaders Nairobi City Thunder tactician Brad Ibs has cautioned his troops against sleeping on their laurels as they eye a deep playoff run.

Ibs’ side was handed a shocker by rejuvenated Equity Dumas on Saturday, but a towering performance in the fourth quarter secured them a narrow 73-70 win that maintained their unblemished regular season record.

The seasoned tactician says they must improve their defensive and offensive rebounding to overcome their opponents in the postseason.

“Equity have an excellent teams and I applaud the adjustments they have made so far.

“This was a good game and it’s a depicts what we can expect in the post season.

“As a team we will have to make adjustments to enhance our chances of making it to the finals.”

Ibs says all the adjustments they will make will be geared towards enhancing their title prospects, as they anticipate fierce competition from rivals Equity Dumas, Ulinzi Warriors, and Kenya Ports Authority.

“It is going to be like this in all playoff games but I am happy I can rely on my players to deliver the goods.

“My experienced players like Ariel Ortega who did not play today will give us better options on how we can make our possessions count. We have more in store for our fans.
