FKF Women Premier League (FKF-PL) side, Bungoma Queens, has made three key additions to their squad in a bid to start the season strong and put their disastrous last season behind them.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, the club's head coach, Robert Machio, confirmed the signing of three talented players; Praxidise Itambo and Rebecca Misango from Bunyore Starlets, and Becky Nafula from Gideons Starlets.

Machio expressed confidence in the new signings, stating that they will bring valuable experience and depth to the team

"Itambo, Misango, and Nafula are exceptional players with great potential. Their arrival will strengthen our squad, giving us a competitive edge as we head into the new season,” said Machiao.

The signings come at a crucial time for the club as they prepare for their upcoming fixtures with the hopes of clinching the league title.

With the Women Premier League season set to kick off on October 5, 2024, Bungoma Queens are gearing up for their opening match against Kibra Starlets.

In regards to the league commencement, Machio emphasized that the team has been training intensively to ensure they start the season on a strong note.

“We've been putting in the work during training, focusing on tactics, fitness, and team chemistry. Our aim is to hit the ground running when the season begins, and I believe we are well-prepared,” Machio remarked.

The fresh pairs of legs are expected to boost Bungoma Queens’ chances of competing at the top level, as the team sets its sights on a successful season ahead.

Last season, Bungoma Queens FC finished in sixth place with 19 points.
