Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia has warned his side will be going all out against AFC Leopards this weekend as they seek first maximum points in the new FKF Premier League season.

The Oilers played out a 1-1 draw with City Stars last weekend and they registered a similar score line against Shabana in the first match of the new campaign on August 24.

Bidco United fought back in the two ties to grab two points but Akhulia believes his charges are ripe for all the three points and that AFC Leopards will be their first victim at Thika Stadium on Saturday

“We have prepared well and I can say the boys are ready for the first win of the season. We have prepared as usual as we prepare for any team and I am not saying AFC Leopards are different from the other teams. The training is the same and the preparation has been normal but we target all the points against them.”

“We’ve shown our fighting spirit in the last two matches and that has resulted in us getting a point in each match. We will now focus on improving on our defence to avoid conceding early,” added Akhulia.

Leopards opened the season with a 4-0 rout against newly promoted Mathare United before suffering a 1-0 defeat in the hands of Posta Rangers last Sunday.

Reflecting on the first two matches, Akhulia also believes that the team should avoid unforced errors if they are to pick all the three points against Leopards.

“Our defender failed to cope with the strength of the ball on the Dandora pitch last time and slipped, then the opponent striker took the ball and scored. So if we can get rid of the small mistakes early on, I think it can help us a lot.”

Bidco United currently lie 10th in the league standings with Leopards placed third on three points after two rounds.

“The league has just started and it's only the second game that has concluded. We should be able to compete as a team bearing in mind that we should not lose a match in the league. The third match we will try to win so that we can get out of the draws we have got,” he added.

Elsewhere, former champions Tusker FC will be seeking to return to winning ways when they face Kakamega Homeboyz at Kenyatta Stadium on Sunday.

Tusker fell 3-2 to Kariobangi Sharks last weekend at Dandora Stadium and interim coach Charles Okere will want to get maximum points against winless Homeboyz.
