Alliance, Upper Hill set for Prescott Cup semis

Prescott cup semi-finals will take center stage this weekend at Lenana School. Upper Hill, Rift Valley Academy(RVA), Dagoretti and Alliance High School will be the charges battling out for a spot in the cups final this Saturday.

Prescott Cup is a rugby tournament played by elite Schools within or near Nairobi County.

The host Lenana school will be watching from the stands as they were crushed 36-24  by 2018 finalists Rift Valley Academy at the quarter-final stage. On the other hand, 2018 champions  Upperhill won a convincing 20-0 against Mang’u High School to book a place in the semis.

Dagoretti High School defeated their quarter-final opponents Muhuri Muchuri 48-0 while Alliance high school made it past the quarters with a fat win of 26-3 against Ofafa Jericho.

The first semi-final will see Upperhill take on RVA on pitch A while pitch B will be hosting Dagoretii High vs Alliance High School who won the cup last in 2015. the games will run concurrently as from 3pm.

Aside from the Prescott cup semis, there will be curtain-raiser from semi-final festivities of Damu Pevu at the same venue kicking off at Pm. Pitch A will play host to Laiser Hill vs Aquinas. Sunshine takes on Lang’ata High School. The teams will be looking to earn a semi-final spot.

Damu Changa teams will also battle out at the same venue starting 2 pm with Alliance II taking on Mang’u II pitch A as Muhui Muchiri II challenge Upperhill II on pitch B.

The current champions Upperhill High School come as the dominant side having won the cup three consecutive years from 2016. The host Lenana School last won the cup in 2001 beating Nairobi School.
