Wamalwa to Ruto: They call you Kasongo because of a culture of lies

Eugene said the opposition will continue to hold the Kenya Kwanza government to account to ensure it acts responsibly.
Speaking at the Kapsitwet area on the outskirts of Kitale during the funeral of Matthew Wandati, a Strathmore University student who was found murdered, Eugene emphasized that opposition leaders have agreed to remove policies implemented by the Kenya Kwanza government that oppress ordinary Kenyans after the next general election.
Eugene added that, as the opposition, they will continue to remind the public of the negative impacts of the policies enforced by the Kenya Kwanza government, especially in areas like education and the economy.
He stressed that, aside from criticizing the government, their role is to ensure accountability and ensure that the interests of ordinary Kenyans are respected in the next administration.
"We must say who is causing it for our manifesto when the time comes. Kenyans know what we stand for, including reversing your bad policies, the failed policy in the education sector, particularly the higher education funding model, the court has already declared it unconstitutional, including housing levy and the SHA thing we intend to reverse these policies," he said.
"And we have better policies that we are putting in place," Eugene Wamalwa, the leader of DAP Kenya."
"So for now, our role as opposition is oversight. We must, you President, and we must call you what wananchi are calling you. They are calling you Zakayo because of taxes, they are calling you Kasongo because of the culture of lies. So we will not stop talking about you."
