Two students from Moi University in Eldoret have been reported dead after drowning in a open quarrynear the university in the Kesses area of Uasin Gishu County.
Reports indicate the two young men were swimming before the tragic Monday afternoon incident.
Confirming the incident, the police chief in the Kesses area, Charles Chacha, stated that the bodies of the two have been recovered and moved to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Eldoret mortuary.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
