Two dead, several injured in Jogoo Road accident

A matatu driver and a passenger died on the spot following a road accident involving two buses along Nairobi’s Jogoo Road.

Several other people were also injured in the accident that happened at Hamsa.

The accident occured when a minibus heading to Embakasi crashed into a town-bound matatu.

According to witnesses, the Embakasi bound-bus was avoiding hitting another vehicle at the junction to Buruburu when the accident occured.

Casualties were rushed to the nearby Metropolitan Hospital, while one victim with critical injuries was transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital for specialized treatment.

The 6:30PM incident involved matatus belonging to Embasava SACCO and Foward Travellers.
