Tiaty MP to Ruto: Carry your own cross

The MP had previously asked the DP to resign if he is not in support of President Kenyatta’s war on graft.
The outspoken MP who was speaking in Kilifi accused Ruto of protecting corrupt leaders and thereby painting the Kalenjin community in negative light.
“Nobody steals with his community’s knowledge, and, therefore, those implicated in corruption should carry their cross,” the MP was quoted by the standard.
While in Kilifi, the MP also drummed up support for KANU’s Gideon Moi who he praised as a leader who would transform the country.
The Baringo senator has been among leaders who have expressed interest in succeeding president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
Elsewhere, the deputy president who was speaking while attending a fundraiser at the Mwiki PCEA church accused his critics of politicizing the war on corruption.
