Four people died on Monday in a head on collision at the Katakala area on the Narok-Mulot road.

According to a police report filed at the Narok police station, the accident on Monday afternoon involved a trailer and a Toyota Landcruiser owned by Dalloky Magnifiques Tours Safaris and driven by an unidentified driver.

According to police officers familiar with the incident, the Landcruiser overtook improperly and collided with an oncoming trailer.

All four occupants of the Landcruiser, including three foreigners and the driver, died on the spot, while the driver of the trailer sustained minor injuries to both legs.

"Both vehicles landed on the left side of the road as one faces Narok direction," the police report records in part.

"The Toyota Land cruiser was extensively damaged."

Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been moved to the Narok County Hospital mortuary pending autopsies.
