Suna West Member of Parliament Peter Masara has raised concern over the integrity of the national examination in the country urging the Ministry of Education and the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) to pull up their socks.

Masara said a lot of integrity issues have been raised over the administration of the national examination in the county. Therefore the exam body and the Ministry of Education must move with speed to make Kenyans have confidence with the national examination in the country.

The legislator said the outcome of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination and that of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination for the year 2023 has attracted integrity issues which the ministry must handle.

Masara said the discrepancies seen in the 2023 national examinations were not witnessed during the era of the former Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i and the late Prof. George Magoha.

He said the current Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu must deal with the issues compromising the integrity of the examinations in the country.
