Slain Kabete MP Murder Suspects Charged
The seven, while appearing before Lady Justice Jessie Lesiit, did not plea since six of them could not afford lawyers.
The judge has directed the court's deputy registrar to provide them with a public advocate before they can take a plea on Thursday next week.
The suspects were later taken to a Magistrate court before presiding Principal Magistrate Enock Cherono, where they faced charges of robbery with violence.
They denied the charges. The case is set for mentioning on the March 23rd, 2015.
The seven suspects are Mr Erick Muyera Isabwa alias chairman, Mr Raphael Kimani alias Butcher, Mustafa Kimani alias Musto, Stephen Asitiva Lipapo alias Chokori, Jane Wanjiru Kimani alias Shiro, Margaret Njeri alias Waciuri and Simon Wambugu Gichamba.
Muchai and three of his aides were shot dead on February 7th in Nairobi, in what police described as a "well planned" attack.
The assailants shot the four at close range.
