Ruto in Migori for final stretch of Nyanza tour

President William Ruto visited Migori county on Saturday afternoon for the final stretch of his three-day South Nyanza tour. 

He attended Uriri MP Mark Nyamita's homecoming. 

Speaking during the commissioning of the Senta-Nyamtiro-Isebania road in Kuria East and Nyabohanse - Kumumwamu road in Kuria West, Migori County, Ruto said, "We are expanding our road network to stimulate rapid economic growth in the country by opening up our rural areas to opportunities."

Ruto's tour has seen him visit Kisii, Nyamira and Migori counties.

While in Kuria East on Saturday, Ruto was accompanied by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who pledged to hold fundraisers for women's groups and two churches.

In Kisii County, Ruto launched the Kegati Water Project in Nyaribari Chache Constituency and the Sironga Housing Project.

He commissioned the upgrading of the Gekano-Rigoma-Amabuko Road in Kitutu Masaba Constituency.

Ruto also held meetings with leaders from Nyamira and Kisii counties at Kisii State Lodge.
