In a long post on X, President Ruto welcomed the renewed collaboration in the health sector, highlighting the recent Ksh.208 billion health deal signed to boost Kenya's health systems.
This, according to Ruto, would save lives, uplift communities, and accelerate Kenya’s journey toward universal health coverage.
"Kenya sincerely appreciates the clarity of purpose, the spirit of cooperation, and the readiness of President Trump's administration to forge a bold and mutually beneficial course for the future."
On trade and investment, the President expressed optimism over progress in areas aimed at boosting African manufacturing, opening new markets, and creating employment opportunities.
He noted that the U.S. interest in Kenya’s digital economy, infrastructure development, and green transition reflects a new era of shared prosperity.
Ruto also praised the United States for its continued support for peace and stability in the Horn of Africa and the Great Lakes region.
He highlighted pivotal discussions on counter-terrorism, maritime security, and conflict resolution as key to enhancing regional stability.
“Kenya values President Trump’s personal leadership and the renewed momentum he has brought to our bilateral relationship,” Ruto said, adding that Kenya is committed to ensuring that the agreements reached in Washington translate into tangible benefits for citizens.
President Ruto’s trip to the United States, made at the invitation of President Trump, was to witness the signing of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)-Rwanda peace agreement.
