Ruto afraid of Kalonzo’s 2022 presidential bid, Muthama

Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has insinuated that the Deputy President William Ruto is scared of CORD principal Raila Odinga’s probable endorsement of Kalonzo Musyoka.

Speaking in Tala during the burial of his uncle Mwanzia Kimomo on Thursday, Muthama said that Ruto should not be afraid of a possible Odinga victory in the 2017 polls with Musyoka as his running mate.

Muthama said Ruto should stop dragging Musyoka to his problems when he is in fact scared of seeing him run as CORD’s flagbearer in 2017.

“Ruto is afraid that Odinga might endorse Musyoka to run for the presidency in 2017 because that will ensure a straight win for CORD,” he said.

Muthama, however, noted that the worst fear for Ruto is 2022 as he cannot win against Mr Musyoka.

On land issues, Muthama called on Ruto to carry his cross regarding the Weston Hotel case among other saying that the Deputy President should also stop linking his case at the Hague to Odinga.
