'Resign, we don’t recognise you as our member,' ODM officials now tell Siaya DG William Oduol

Led by ODM party’s Alego/Usonga branch Vice-chairman Thomas Okoth Rondo, the officials maintained that given the differences that still exist between Mr Oduol and his boss Governor James Orengo, there is no way that they can work together.

He stated that as far as they are concerned, the deputy governor had exhibited "total disrespect" to his boss which is why they decided to expel him from the party reiterating that their position has not yet changed.

They spoke in Siaya town where ODM party’s North Alego Ward chairman Michael Otieno and the branch organizing secretary for the Women League Seline Oyoo advised Mr Oduol to resign owing to the sour relationship that he has with many people.

ODM party’s Alego/Usonga branch Organizing Secretary Paul Jura stated that the move by Kenya Kwanza Senators to save Mr Oduol from impeachment even after the 11-member special committee upheld the Siaya County Assembly’s recommendation to have him impeached was a clear indication that he has not been loyal.

Jura stated that they have therefore disowned him and shall no longer count him as one of them because he has chosen to serve the interests of ODM party opponents hence the war that he opened with his boss James Orengo.

He wondered how the deputy governor was going to perform his duties when his relationship with everybody including the governor, MCAs and even the party was completely torn apart.

Jura advised Governor Orengo to consider assigning someone else the duties that he would wish to give to his deputy.
