The Prefects Summit, now in its fourth year, continues to break new ground in nurturing academic excellence and spiritual growth among secondary school students across the nation.
The Prefects Summit started with what we was called Parklands for Jesus, which was an initial movement to get the people around the Parklands area more involved in church.
The transformation came when Pastor Carol Kiama challenged the team to think bigger: "Why don't we include the Prefects?" The question sparked a movement that has touched thousands of young lives.
"From fewer than 100 participants representing less than 10 schools in 2021, this year's summit targeted 500 students from over 25 schools nationwide. "This being the biggest one so far," Kiama noted.
The true measure of success lies in transformed lives and academic achievements.
"We've just awarded three of our top four of our top students. All got A's of different calibres, the highest being of 84, which is the highest you could get."
What sets the Prefects Summit apart is its commitment to developing the whole person.
"One of them got born again during our summit," ROG shared, highlighting the spiritual transformation alongside academic growth.
Recent graduates continue making their mark across various fields.
The summit's comprehensive approach produces distinctive results.
As ROG observes, "You could see that they're outstanding, not only academically, but even in their thinking and in their leadership capabilities."
