Police raid Boni Khalwale’s home
Police on Tuesday afternoon raided the home of former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale over claims that he is planning to disrupt Thursday’s repeat presidential election.
Khalwale took to his Twitter account to claim four police vehicles – two land rovers and two trucks – stormed his home in Malinya, Kakamega and embarked on a search.
Amazing!
4 police vehicles (2 land rovers & 2 trucks) with police have just stormed my Malinya home in Kakamega demanding to search it!

Reports indicate that the raid was prompted by claims that the senator had stored tyres in his home which were to be used in lighting bonfires during protests to block the repeat polls.
The senator has been leading anti-IEBC protests in the county and is among the leaders who have vowed there will be no election on October 26.
Police have not confirmed the incident and there is no official statement as to why Khalwale’s house is being targeted for the search.
