Police officer stabbed by partner after night of heavy drinking in Mombasa

A police officer
is recovering from serious stab wounds allegedly inflicted by his partner
during a domestic altercation at their residence in Chaani, Changamwe, Mombasa
County.
According to a
police report, the officer, who is attached to the Mombasa High Court, was in
his house with his partner when a violent confrontation erupted between them.
The woman reportedly fled the scene shortly afterward.
Neighbors, alarmed
by the commotion, entered the house and found the officer bleeding heavily and
heavily intoxicated.
They rushed him to
a nearby health facility, from where he was later transferred to another
hospital in the Mikindani–Jomvu area for specialized care.
Initial
investigations suggest that the two had been drinking together in the room, but
the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear.
Police are
currently searching for the woman, who disappeared after the incident and is
now considered a suspect in the stabbing.
