Police officers have launched a manhunt on a robbery suspect believed to be part of a five-man gang that robbed off a Chinese couple Ksh.4 million in Juja, Kiambu county.
According to a statement issued by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the gang which had three of its members donning police attire, intercepted the couple on their way to a quarry they operate after they withdrew the money from a bank in Chiromo, Nairobi on Friday.
DCI says that the gang hijacked the Chinese nationals when they arrived at Bob Haris Road, forcefully gaining entry into their car and making away with the cash.
Members of the public have been urged to share any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect through the DCI hotline.
