One person drowns, 10 camps flooded at the Maasai Mara
More than 10 tourist camps have been affected by floods after a river burst its banks at the Maasai Mara in Narok.
Some of them include Base Camp, Mara Acacia, Mara Leisure Camp, Azure Lodge, Oloshaiki, River Side, Crocodile, Mara Ngenje and Mara Eden Lodges.
The Daily Nation reported that tourists were forced to sleep on chairs as their camps were flooded after River Talek burst its banks.

Computers, beds and valuable documents were either destroyed or swept away.
One person is said to have drowned while trying to save his colleague as they attempted to cross the flooded Talek River.
The body has been taken to Longisa County Referral Hospital mortuary in Bomet.
