A man who attempted to disrupt Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung'u's photo session outside the Treasury building on Budget Reading Day last week has pleaded not guilty to charges levelled against him.

Julius Kamau Kimani was arraigned before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi on Wednesday where he was accused of creating disturbance in a manner likely to cause breach of peace.

He denied the charges and was granted a cash bail of Ksh.10,000.

The case will be mentioned on July 3, this year.

Last week when he appeared before the court, Senior Principal Magistrate Ochoi ordered that Kamau be taken to Mathari Mental Hospital for mental assessment.

However, today (Wednesday),  the court was told that the health facility could not facilitate a mental assessment of Julius.
