Man hacks wife and child to death in Elgeyo Marakwet

Police in Elgeyo Marakwet are holding a man who is alleged to have killed his wife and child in Setano area in Keiyo South Constituency, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

The 25-year-old man is said to have killed his 22-year-old wife and his 2-year-old child on Friday by hacking them with a machete following a domestic squabble.

Police were forced to disperse angry residents who arrived at the scene and threatening to lynch the man.

Soi South MCA Jonah Tanui has now urged residents to find amicable ways of solving their problems instead of resulting to such measures.
