Man attacks wife then kills self over suspected domestic feud

A 57-year-old man in Kilibwoni, Nandi County seriously injured his wife after hacking her with crude weapons before killing himself.

Lolminingai location Chief Monicca Mitei said Isack Chepngok was found dead within his homestead after the vicious attack on his 55-year-old wife who later lost her life while undergoing treatment at the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital.

Chepngok noted that close family members disclosed domestic squabbles which are said to have been going on for days, occasioned physical fights.

Mitei called on families to share their challenges with church elders, administrators and their next of kin to find solutions.
