Local educational startup LoHo officially launched in Kenya

James Ong'ang'a, the CEO and Founder of LoHo Learning.
Incepted in 2017, LoHo Learning is the result of a visionary journey that commenced within Longhorn Publishers PLC, a prominent Pan-African publishing house with a footprint in 10 African countries.
It all started with a pioneering vision which led to the development of groundbreaking eLearning and eBook solutions, enhancing access to quality education in an accessible, affordable, and engaging manner.
"In the past, my exam preparation involved scouring for JESMA past papers and National Schools mocks, along with photocopying textbooks and painstakingly writing out notes for revision," says James Ong'ang'a, the CEO and Founder of LoHo Learning.
"We only had insights into our comprehension during mid-terms and end-term assessments. Our products aim to address these challenges by ensuring access to approved materials at affordable prices, offering intelligent assessments that identify areas for further study, and providing STEM simulations for home-based laboratory question revision."
The app, which now is already available on Google Play store, embraces an interactive approach that makes learning enjoyable for students, by seeking to ease access to learning by providing its books both for online and offline use.
This essentially means that learners can download books when they are connected to the internet to read them offline.
This innovative EdTech company is also redefining the concept of the classroom - making learning not only more accessible but also inclusive for children with special needs.
"We have ensured that our content is inclusive for learners who are differently abled. We believe in extending access to knowledge for all, making inclusivity the bedrock of effective eLearning. By designing our eBooks with empathy and accessibility at the forefront, we ensure that the doors of knowledge remain wide open to everyone, regardless of their abilities," James added.
