Laikipia police officer arrested with stolen uniforms, equipment
The suspect was identified as PC Mohamud Adow.

A police constable stationed in Laikipia County has been
arrested in connection with the possession of stolen uniforms, equipment, and
exhibits from fellow officers.
The suspect, identified as PC Mohamud Adow, attached to Ngobit
Police Station in Laikipia Central, was arrested following a search in his
house.
According to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, the
station’s OCS Gideon Kamitu and his deputy Lilly Kambura led a contingent of
officers in conducting the search.
The items recovered include 3 Angola shirts, 5 China blue
sweaters, 2 jungle green sweaters, 3 China blue shirts, 4 jungle hats, 6 navy
blue shirts, 3 navy blue trousers, 4 jungle trousers and 4 jungle jackets.
Other items were 2 jungle T-shirts, 2 jungle jackets, 3 China
blue raincoats, 1 navy blue raincoat, 1 police flag, 1 58-pattern band, 3
jungle belts, 3 navy blue police belts, 3 blue lanyards, 1 AK-47 pouch, 1 body
armour and one exhibit claw hammer.
Police say that some of the officers were able to identify
their lost items among those recovered from the officer.
All the items have since been placed in the station's QM store
and are awaiting further service and disciplinary action against the officer.
