Kisumu woman found dead, angry mob beats her lover to death

Police in Nyakach, Kisumu County, are probing incidents where a woman was found dead in her house, and her lover later killed by an irate mob.

According to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, Brigid Amondi Ochieng, a 35-year-old teacher at Obwolo Secondary School, was found dead at Oboch location on Monday.

Her lover Job Osogo Otieno, with whom she shared the house, was later seriously beaten by a mob before being rushed to the Nyabondo Mission Hospital for treatment.

He was then transferred to the Jaramogi Odinga Oginga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) where he died on Tuesday afternoon at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The bodies of the two deceased persons are both being preserved at the same facility awaiting autopsy.
