Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and his two aides were involved in a road accident on Wednesday night that killed two people in Narok County.

Maangi’s vehicle is reported to have hit a father and his child who were on a motorcycle, killing them instantly.

The DG and his aides escaped unhurt but the accident saw angry residents torch the Prado at Tagero area.

The motorcycle was coming from Narok while the Deputy Governor was heading to Narok from Bomet.

According to Narok Sub-county commissioner Felix Kisalu, the bodies of the two victims were taken to Narok County Referral Hospital.

Mr. Kisalu said investigations have begun to establish the cause of the accident.
