Kamulu family in distress after 13-year-old boy found murdered
Police in Embakasi have launched a manhunt for the killers
of a 13-year-old boy in Nairobi’s Kamulu Estate.
The family of the slain boy is appealing to the police to expedite the investigations.
to Jaylan Jane Mumbi.
A neighbor, Everlyne Wambui, added, "Mtoto
alikuwa amelazwa hapo, alikuwa na uniform. Wakati polisi walikuja walishangaa
hapo."
Jaylan, a student at Ngundu Primary School and 13 years old,
was last seen on Reflector Road near Maina Road, wearing his school uniform.
viatu,” Mother to Jaylan Njoroge Nuru Jaylan said.
Led by his father, Robert Jombe, the family took us to the
site where Jaylan was found. Items they believe could aid in the investigation
remain in their possession after the police took the body and returned the bag,
shoes, and a book that identified him to his family.
"Polisi hakuna kitu wametuambia, walisema
watachunguza, wakaniuliza kama kuna mtu nimekosana naye ama unasense, nikawaambia
hakuna mtu nimekosana naye,” grandmother to Jaylan Jane Mumbi said.
Father to Jaylan’s father Robert Jombe added, “Kitu
This comes amid reports of rising insecurity in the Kamulu
area.
Nuru stated.
Four days after the discovery of the body of Jaylan Njoroge,
there still remains a puzzle of how and why detectives left behind the bag and the
shoes that were found together with his body in this area.
